H&M always keeps things lively with new promotional images. In their latest attempt to dress up the e-commerce portion of their website for the upcoming season, they have released a campaign featuring Andres Velencoso Segura and Ryan Thomas. The duo represent a more mature audience for H&M, but one that nevertheless still appreciates trends.

Very hot song! Long-term artists? Maybe not...but definitely on the come up.
Can we say Prince inspired? Most definitely! I've heard the entire CD already and this is one of my favorite songs on his CD Ready which drops August 31st
Two of my favorite new artists. Very hot collabo! Wale is doing his thing and Jazmine is such a beast right now. BANANAS!

So I have been listening to Queen Latifah's new album "Persona" and I have to admit it's pretty good! I was a little worried after hearing her lead single Cue the Rain, but the CD in it's entirety is nothing like that song. She has a good mix of r&b/pop/rap...and by rap I mean that old school Queen type rap. Once you move past the 2--maybe 3 at most--pop songs then the rest is just like chill kid lol. The type of music where I could sit back, close my eyes, and just get into it. Especially the last 6 songs lol. I'm just afraid that it's not gonna get the attention it deserves...but nonetheless DO NOT SLEEP ON THE QUEEN.
Go cop the album when it drops on the 25th(August)...I don't think you'll be disappointed and if you are......ah well your problem not mine lol

Who does that??
Usain Bolt apparently does lol.
He is a beast. I mean I expected him to run under 9.7 again, but to run under 9.6 is crazy! The fastest person in the world right now and I'm not sure if we'll see anybody faster than him for a long time. Now, I do have to give it up to Tyson Gay.
He ran his best race and took the American record with 9.71. Bananas. I was rooting for Gay but once I saw the semi-finals, I knew Bolt was gonna take it. Bolt runs with such ease and confidence (borderline cockiness). It makes me wanna run lol. I always liked track...wonder why I never ran in school??? If only I could turn back time....ah well I can't so I'm over it now lol.
9.58...RIDICULOUS.

...I love fresh clothes lol. Check out Plein's Fall 2009 collection. The slim fit is in right now and this collection (with a mix of a little grunge) doesn't let me down. Very nice.

Check out the cover art and tracklisting for R. Kelly's upcoming album...set to be released September 29. I used to be a fan of his, but now I hear his music and don't care. Number one is a nice song and I moved my head a little to Superman High but I don't know.

Sale!
So I went to the mall yesterday to buy a pair of sneakers and had a little money left over. I remembered that I had an Express (clothing store) card in my wallet! It was for $15 off, not much, but little did i know they were having a sale...the shirt I wanted was 40% off (orginal price was around $35/sale price was $21). With my card I only spent $6...I was like a little kid finally getting that piece of candy he's been crying for lol...it was sad how excited I was lol. Anyway I love when days just seem go right.

I was a little busy this weekend so I didn't really feel like posting have time to post.
Anyway I was looking for something to watch on tv and I found one of my favorite movies ever. It stars the amazingly beautiful/gorgeous/sexy Jada Pinkett-Smith along with Queen Latifah, Vivica Fox, and Kimberly Elise. I remember the first time I watched it, I had to be 8 or 9, and my mother was crying towards the end of it. Of course I didn't understand/care why, but when I watched again when I was little older, I understood it what the movie was about and was instantly hooked (I still haven't cried though lol). I do admit, though, I hated seeing Cleo and T.T. die...I didn't care too much for Frankie but I hated that Stony had to see her die, smh. "It's about crime. It's about payback. It's about survival." <<From dvd cover lol Tagline: Deal with this. The only breaks you get are the ones you take. And how can you forget Lori Perry's "Up Against the Wind" song when Cleo died or Brandy's "Missing You" at the end of the movie. Of course I'm talking about:

One of my top ten must watch movies. If you haven't seen...where have you been?

I was looking through some clothing lines and I found so many things for men. Anyway I stumbled across these two lines via mensrag.com and thought they were kinda fly. They both have nice clean looks that I could really get into. Make sure you check out there sites for more.

With everything that has been going on with Rihanna and Chris Brown--Rihanna wanting less restriction on Chris Brown--it got me thinking about the standards young ladies are setting for the young men today. You have to set your standards higher. You don't want dudes yelling out "Ay shawty" then simply stop responding to it...if you don't respond, we have to change our approach (this does not include me b/c I don't do it lol). You want a man that has something going for himself, stop dating those who are just "going through tough times"...there's nothing wrong with wanting only a man that's in college, has a job, or is actually working towards his plan...it will only make those who aren't doing anything want to do something. Do you realize that if you stop giving men excuses we will have no choice but to make ourselves better. You set the bar. If you allow a man to disrespect you then that's all you're gonna get. If you allow a man to sit in your house and do nothing, then that's all you're gonna get. A man hits you and you take him back because he apologizes...no sir lol...move on knowing that you deserve to never have that happen you. You deserve better. You have to realize what you want and settle for nothing less. As a young man, I have certain things that I absolutely cannot tolerate in a female. I will not deal with ignorance, lack of self-respect, lack of respect for others, or someone nonintellectual and/or egotistical--amongst other things--simply because they have a "pretty" face. I'm a picky guy, and ladies, you have to be the same way.
**Now I am in no way putting it all on the ladies. To the guys, especially the young men of my age group and those coming up, we have to step it up. We have to want something in life. College isn't for everybody, but we all have to have a plan because the "street life," as I call it, is not a good look. We have to take responsibility for ourselves and stop trying to blame other people for our own setbacks. We have to show the young ladies the respect they deserve. Being born with a certain attribute doesn't make you a man...it makes you a male. It's time to step it up.

For the ladies...
I saw these Alexander Wang's over at Stuff Fly People Like and thought to myself "If I see a female rocking these the right way 1)I'll know she got bank ($748) lol, 2) I'll know she got style, and 3) she could be my type!"

I love a female that can wear heals and actually walk in them lol...they bring out such a different type of sexy. That is all.

And I see A familiar face on 106th and Park...I thought about it for a minute and realized it was the kid from ABC family's "Lincoln Heights"...which I think is an alright show. I guess his name is Mishon. I knew he was trying to get into music but I didn't think it was that serious lol. But anyway, to my surprise he has a video on the 106 countdown...and it was...eh whatever. I was just shocked to see his video playing on tv...not to shut him down because I actually like the fact that song sounds age appropriate and isn't degrading females. So if your interested you can see the video for Just a Kiss here.

I Envision...
A life so far beyond the amazing state of Georgia! I'm a city kid so I definitely see myself living somewhere like NY. So I keep telling myself that I only have 1 more year then I'm free as a bird but......what if that's not what God has in store for me? What if I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life in the South? Don't get me wrong sometimes the slower pace is just what I need and I love a female with a southern accent lol, but I cannot stay here for the rest of my life. I'm supposed to go to law school next fall(2010) and only two schools have really caught my eye up north...what if I don't get into either of those schools lol. I guess God knows what's best for me in the end. I just hope we're on the same page....pray for me lol!!
