Janet Jackson, who turned
43 in May, is on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. She looks
BANANAS! In the magazine she discusses Michael's death and how it's hard for her to even watch tv because of all the
nonsense and
foolishness surrounding his death:
She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death — who did it, what did it. "It will drive you crazy," she says. "People can have rhinoceros skin, but there's a point when something's going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven't watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How's Obama doing? I haven't read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member."
She's also
working on a new album, which helps her through her difficult time. She touches on her personal life--
she's not with J.D. anymore and she isn't dating, though she receives offers. It has also been confirmed that she
will be performing on the VMA's this Sunday! Should be very good, as it's been rumored that
she has been practicing for 15 hours a day.
Can't wait! Check out the full interview over at
Harper's Bazaar and
a few more photos taken by Tom Munro.
